The Jordanian Contractors Association condemns and denounces in the strongest terms the unfortunate shooting incident that took place at the Greek Orthodox Church in the village of Hammoud in the Karak Governorate, which reportedly resulted in deaths and injuries. This is a shameful and unacceptable attack that contradicts religious, humanitarian, and national values, and undermines the security and stability of Jordanian society.
The Association affirmed its full solidarity with our Christian families and brothers in the Karak Governorate, emphasizing that the Jordanian people, in all their spectrums and components, form a single national fabric bound by ties of brotherhood, love, and tolerance, and that any attack targeting their security and safety is an attack on the entire Jordanian society.
The Association expressed its full support for the efforts of the Jordanian security services, and its confidence in their ability to uncover the circumstances of the incident, identify the parties and individuals behind it, and take the necessary legal measures against anyone proven to be involved, ensuring the achievement of justice and the preservation of the security of the nation and its citizens.
In this context, the Association confirmed that it is awaiting the official statement from the competent authorities regarding the details and circumstances of the incident, calling on everyone to be accurate and responsible in circulating information, and not to be led by rumors, in order to preserve social peace and national unity.
The Jordanian Contractors Association extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured, asking God Almighty to protect Jordan and its people from all harm, and to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety, and stability in our homeland under the wise Hashemite leadership.
May God protect Jordan, its leadership and its people, and may our national unity remain an impenetrable fortress against all those who attempt to undermine the security and stability of the nation.
