The university said in a statement last Saturday that it is the first official Jordanian university to obtain this accreditation for its program.

Dr. Hassan Al-Shalbi, President of the University, said that this international achievement is the result of organized institutional work and continuous efforts to develop the program and its curriculum, and to improve the quality of the educational process and its outputs according to international standards, thereby enhancing the efficiency of graduates and their ability to compete in the labor market locally, regionally, and internationally.

Dr. Hassan Al-Momani, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, confirmed that the accreditation represents an advanced achievement for the university and the college, reflecting the quality of the program and its alignment with international standards, and demonstrating the university's interest in developing its programs and enhancing its academic standing.

For his part, Dr. Yasser Al-Saoud, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Head of the Department of English Language and Literature, said that obtaining the accreditation constitutes an important milestone in the journey of the department, and an international certificate of the quality of its academic plan and educational outputs.

In another context, the university participated in coordination meetings with BORDA Jordan and a number of Jordanian universities to develop a training package in the fields of water treatment, environment, and sustainability.

Dr. Al-Shalbi said that the university's participation comes within the framework of its interest in enhancing its role in the fields of water treatment, environmental management, sustainability, water reuse, and circular economy applications, in addition to encouraging partnerships that contribute to transferring academic expertise to applications that serve society and various sectors.

The university was represented in the meeting by Assistant President for Development and Industry Liaison, Professor Dr. Riyadh Al-Duwairi.

Dr. Al-Duwairi confirmed that this participation reflects the university's keenness to expand its academic and research partnerships, and to enhance capacity building in the fields of water and the environment, thereby supporting applied scientific research and contributing to the development of sustainable solutions that align with community needs and sustainable development goals.
