Statement issued by the Jordan Insurance Federation: Condemnation and denunciation of the Karak crime

The Jordan Insurance Federation condemns in the strongest terms of condemnation and denunciation, and with deep shock and sorrow, the crime of shooting at citizens during a funeral procession in Karak Governorate, in a sinful assault on innocent lives and a flagrant violation of the sanctity of life and human dignity, in a crime that contradicts the authentic values of Jordanian society and its known spirit of brotherhood, solidarity, and respect for the sanctity of blood.

Opening fire on our fellow citizens during moments of grief and farewell, as they lay their loved one to rest, represents a flagrant violation of moral and humanitarian values, and reflects a dangerous disregard for the sanctity of life and the human right to security and safety. It is a condemned act that cannot be justified or tolerated under any pretext or circumstance.

The Federation affirms that the sanctity of blood is a deeply rooted value that is not subject to compromise, and that violence and attacks on the innocent are rejected practices that contradict the moral and humanitarian principles upon which our Jordanian society is built, and threaten its security, stability, and cohesion.

The Federation also stresses the necessity of dealing with this crime in accordance with the provisions of the law, holding those proven responsible for it accountable, and imposing legal penalties upon them, in a way that ensures the achievement of justice and the preservation of citizens' security and dignity, while affirming the rule of law and the protection of societal peace.

The Jordan Insurance Federation extends its sincerest condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, asking God to shower the victims with His vast mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery, emphasizing that safeguarding human life, dignity, and security is a national and moral responsibility that does not accept negligence.

Mercy to the souls of the victims, healing for the injured, justice is a right that must be upheld, and the sanctity of blood is above all considerations.
