Southern Military Region thwarts infiltration attempt on one of its border fronts

The Southern Military Region thwarted an infiltration attempt by two people across one of its border fronts at dawn on Wednesday, after they were spotted by Border Guard forces while attempting to cross the border illegally.
The Border Guard forces dealt with the infiltrators in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement, managed to arrest them, and referred them to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures against them.
The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army affirms its continued commitment to performing its duties to protect the Kingdom's borders and confront attempts at infiltration and illegal crossing, in accordance with the applicable laws and instructions.
