South Korean National Security Advisor Wi Sung-lac said on Thursday that Seoul is still studying multiple options regarding a potential deployment in the Strait of Hormuz, including sending a Navy aircraft to conduct patrols.
He added during a parliamentary session that Seoul continues its discussions with Washington regarding available options, but the deployment of combat troops is unlikely, consistent with what President Lee Jae-myung announced earlier.
