Social Security allows Jordanian expatriates to access its application without the need for a digital ID

The Public Institution for Social Security announced that the number of users of its new mobile application for individuals has exceeded 619,000 since its launch in the middle of last month, indicating that this wide turnout reflects the great interest in the digital services provided by the institution and its continuous endeavor to facilitate access for insured persons, retirees, and beneficiaries to its services and to complete their transactions electronically.

The institution explained in a press statement on Sunday that the new and improved version of the Social Security application, available on Google Play and App Store under the name "Jordanian Social Security" or "SSC Jordan", provides a more convenient and clear experience for the user, by providing services that match the user's insurance status and needs.

The institution clarified that it is working on making a new mechanism available during this week that will enable Jordanian expatriates who do not have a digital ID to access the Social Security application and benefit from its electronic services, with the aim of facilitating their access to the institution's services and enabling them to follow up on their insurance status and complete their transactions electronically without the need to visit the institution's branches.

The institution pointed out that the new application provides more than 30 services for individuals, including retirement and retiree services, optional affiliation and free coverage services, unemployment and maternity services, the 'Include Yourself' service, and other services, in addition to providing immediate medical treatment service for work accidents by establishment liaison officers, and the application is characterized by the automatic recognition of the user's insurance status and displays the services linked to their insurance status, which facilitates access to the required service without the need to search among services not linked to their status

The institution confirmed that it is continuing to develop the application and expand the range of services available through it on an ongoing basis, calling on its audience to download the application or update the version they have, and to benefit from the electronic services available through it.
