The occupied West Bank witnessed, on Monday, at least 20 Israeli attacks targeting farmers during the olive harvesting season across 6 governorates, resulting in the injury of 5 Palestinians, the arrest of at least 10 others, and the burning of 3 vehicles within 12 hours.
The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (governmental) stated in a report that it monitored the attacks between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM in the governorates of Ramallah and Al-Bireh (center), Nablus (north), Salfit (north), Jenin (north), Qalqilya (north), and Hebron (south).
It explained that the attacks included assaulting olive pickers, expelling them from their lands, beating them, opening fire, as well as arrests, theft of crops and equipment, and the burning of property.
According to the Commission, 3 Palestinians were injured after settlers chased their vehicle and pelted it with stones, causing it to overturn in the Al-Manqa area in the village of Farkha, Salfit governorate.
Two other Palestinians were also injured due to beatings in the towns of Turmus Ayya and Deir Abu Mash'al in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate.
In the same governorate, settlers burned a vehicle in Turmus Ayya and attempted to burn two houses, while they opened fire at farmers in the Al-Joura area of the town of Rammun.
The attacks included expelling farmers from their lands in Turmus Ayya, Deir Abu Mash'al, Burqa, and the Gharaba area in Sinjil, in addition to stealing olive crops from lands in the Al-Batin area of the town of Al-Mazra'a ash-Sharqiya.
In Salfit governorate, settlers burned two vehicles in the Wadi al-Sha'ir area east of the governorate, while they attacked farmers during the olive harvest in the Wadi al-Ain area of the town of Deir Ballut.
An armed settler also chased farmers in the lands of Wadi Yasuf and Wadi al-Ahmar east of the town of Marda, forcing a number of them to leave their lands.
In Nablus governorate, settlers attacked olive pickers near Jalud School, in the Bir Quzar area of the town of Beita, and in the towns of Burin and Al-Mas'udiya.
The attackers forced farmers to leave their lands and stole the olive crop in the Al-Mas'udiya area.
In Hebron governorate, settlers, under the protection of the Israeli army, attacked farmers from the Al-Mahaniya and Al-Da'ajna families in Wadi Abu Khashba near Al-Buwaib, east of Yatta.
The settlers assaulted the farmers and stole their olive crop and equipment before 3 Palestinians were arrested by Israeli forces.
Settlers also assaulted a farmer near Al-Karmil, stole his crop and wallet, and released their cattle into the fields of the village of Sikka.
In the Sha'ab al-Butm area in Masafer Yatta, settlers attacked a Palestinian family, while the arrest of two Palestinians was recorded.
The arrests also included one Palestinian in Deir Abu Mash'al in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, and 4 Palestinians, including two children, while picking olives in the village of Kafr Qaddum in the Qalqilya governorate.
Thus, the number of detainees recorded in the Commission's register reached at least 10 Palestinians during the twelve hours of monitoring.
In Jenin governorate, settlers expelled farmers from their lands in the village of Al-Arqa and prevented them from picking olives.
The Commission confirmed that the repeated attacks on olive pickers and chasing them even as they leave their lands, in addition to burning their vehicles and stealing their crops and equipment, aims to undermine the farmers' ability to continue working and accessing their lands.
It demanded an end to settler attacks and the "accompanying military protection," ensuring farmers' safe access to their lands, and holding those responsible for these attacks accountable.
Israeli settler attacks on Palestinians and their lands are escalating during the olive harvest season, which began at the start of this October and constitutes a primary source of livelihood for thousands of Palestinian families.
Since October 2023, attacks by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank have escalated, coinciding with the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, more than 45,000 trees were cut down or damaged in the West Bank during the first half of 2026, including more than 26,000 olive trees.
Official Palestinian data indicates the presence of about 750,000 Israeli settlers in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, distributed across 194 settlements and about 400 settlement outposts.
