The Jordanian Association for Marathons "Run Jordan" announced the reopening of registration to participate in the children's race, which will be held next Friday at Al-Hussein Public Parks.
This comes following the success of the 16th edition of the Amman Marathon 2026, which was held last Friday with the participation of about 5,000 male and female runners from Jordan and abroad.
The main marathon witnessed wide participation across its various categories, in addition to receiving the World Athletics Road Race Label for 2026 for the second consecutive year, continuing its presence among internationally recognized road races and reflecting the growing turnout for the sport of running in Jordan.
The marathon activities continue with the children's race dedicated to the 6 to 14 age group, which gives children the opportunity to experience a race in a sporting and entertaining atmosphere, and to share this experience with their families and friends.
The children's race comes as part of Run Jordan's vision to expand the base of sports participation and encourage children to move and practice running from an early age, in addition to providing a space that brings families together in a sporting and community atmosphere.
Run Jordan invited parents wishing to register their children to take advantage of the reopened registration and participate in the children's race this Friday via the association's official website registration.runjordan.com.
