The primary challenge facing diplomatic movements lies in translating positions into practical results through adherence to agreements, respect for international law, and intensifying international efforts to de-escalate and address the root causes of disputes and conflicts.
All these data confirm that Jordanian diplomacy operates within an equation that combines protecting national security, supporting Arab causes, and striving to achieve regional stability, while translating these efforts into tangible results remains dependent on the responsiveness of international parties and their ability to turn political positions into practical steps on the ground.
According to diplomat and former ambassador Juma Al-Abadi, the credibility of a political message does not depend solely on its clarity, but also relies on the continuity of action, consistency of positions, and the ability to build understandings with various parties. He pointed out that effective diplomacy requires combining political principles with national interests, while maintaining channels of communication even during times of disagreement.
Al-Abadi added: A fundamental equation in Jordanian policy emerges here, which is that protecting national security does not conflict with engaging in regional and international efforts; rather, it requires employing diplomacy to reduce risks, prevent the imposition of new realities that threaten stability, and enhance cooperation on political, economic, and humanitarian issues.
He pointed to the importance of Jordanian diplomatic speeches and messages led by His Majesty the King, which lie in their ability to link principled positions with practical action. He noted that His Majesty’s diplomatic moves constitute an advanced approach based on combining adherence to national constants with engagement in international efforts aimed at de-escalation. He indicated that this was clearly evident in His Majesty’s speech before the United Nations General Assembly during its last meeting, where he linked the future of the Palestinian state, the risks of displacement, and Jordan’s security, and called for the necessity of addressing the roots of the conflict rather than merely managing its repercussions.
Political analyst and researcher Dr. Mustafa Al-Awad confirms that the Jordanian message stems from the realization that regional crises cannot be separated from one another, and that developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem affect the chances for peace in the region, noting that developments in Syria are linked to the security of Jordanian borders and regional stability.
He added: Jordan seeks to keep these files present on the international discussion table and prevent them from being treated as separate crises, noting that one of the most prominent dimensions of Jordanian diplomacy is its employment of bilateral relations and international partnerships to expand the space for understanding regarding regional issues.
Regarding the Palestinian cause, Al-Awad indicated that it constitutes the most prominent test for the effectiveness of these messages, by emphasizing the two-state solution, protecting holy sites, and rejecting displacement. This gives it political and legal importance, noting that continued settlement activity and field tensions raise questions about the international community's ability to translate its positions into effective measures.
