The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan, considering them a flagrant violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a blatant breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighborliness.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement today, Wednesday, that the continuation of these attacks represents a dangerous escalation that would complicate efforts to contain tension and undermine political and diplomatic endeavors to achieve security and stability in the region, holding Iran fully legally responsible for these attacks and their resulting repercussions and consequences.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar's full solidarity with Jordan and its support for all legitimate measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
The Ministry stressed the need for an immediate and complete cessation of all military actions and attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region, refraining from anything that would expand the circle of escalation, returning seriously to the path of dialogue and negotiations, and adhering to the understandings achieved through diplomatic efforts.
