Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Friday that deploying European troops in Ukraine "means war against Russia," considering that Moscow "does not pose a threat" to European countries.
Russian news agencies quoted Putin as saying, "(European leaders) are currently saying they are looking into ways to send troops to Ukrainian territory. And that means war against Russia."
