Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Friday that his country is studying the position on resuming negotiations with the aim of putting an end to the war in Ukraine after the heavy attacks that Kyiv recently launched on Russian territory.
Putin said during a media briefing in the context of the International Culture Forum in St. Petersburg (northwest) that "proposals regarding the resumption of talks are indeed on the table... but after everything they did (referring to the Ukrainians), we will carefully consider how to respond"
Putin also confirmed that his country "is not preparing for any type of conflict with Europe"
He added, "Many in Europe say they are anticipating aggression from the Russian Federation, which subsequently forces them to prepare for battles or war with it," adding, "I reiterate that we are not preparing for any type of conflict with Europe"
