Prime Minister: New projects to be launched in Aqaba soon

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan said that the project to supply natural gas to industrial clusters in Aqaba and Al-Quwayra, which the government inaugurated about 3 months ago, will contribute to reducing production costs for national industries, enhancing their competitiveness, and supporting Jordanian exports.

Hassan pointed to the project's integration with the development of the port system in Aqaba, noting that the region will witness new projects soon.

Prime Minister Jafar Hassan inspected on Sunday the workflow at the Aqaba port system, and reviewed expansion and development projects and plans to increase handling and storage efficiency, in light of the increase in handling volumes and the growth of transit trade, stressing the need to accelerate the implementation of projects and enhance their integration with transport and logistics projects, primarily the Aqaba-Al-Shidiya-Ma'an railway and the Aqaba-Ma'an dry port project.
