People of "Al-Mazar and Al-Aghwar" praise the King's stance and value the efficiency of the security services

The people of Karak Governorate, from the districts of Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi and Al-Aghwar, appreciated the stance of His Majesty King Abdullah II, his directives, and his follow-up on the developments of the terrorist crime that targeted Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, valuing the efficiency and vigilance of the security services in pursuing the perpetrators of the crime and arresting them at dawn on Monday, in an operation that reflected the level of readiness and professionalism enjoyed by the Jordanian security institutions in protecting the homeland and citizens and safeguarding the Kingdom's security and stability.

They affirmed that the royal stance embodies the steadfastness of the Jordanian state in confronting terrorism and extremism, and the keenness to protect all Jordanians and safeguard their national unity, stressing that targeting places of worship and the lives of citizens will not undermine the cohesion of Jordanian society, nor will it succeed in sowing discord among its people, who stand as one rank behind the Hashemite leadership and state institutions.

They said that the success of the security services in tracking down those involved and arresting them confirms their ability to deal with security challenges with efficiency and firmness, and sends a clear message that the law will reach everyone who dares to tamper with the security of the homeland or target the lives of its people, and that Jordanians trust the ability of their national institutions to protect their security and preserve societal peace.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Maher Al-Hawarneh said that the efficiency and vigilance shown by the security services in tracking down the perpetrators of the terrorist crime and arresting them reflects the advanced level of professionalism and readiness enjoyed by the Jordanian security institution, and confirms its ability to deal with threats that target the security of the homeland and the safety of its people.

He added that the rapid response and firm handling of the incident send a clear message that the Jordanian state is capable of protecting its citizens and pursuing everyone who tries to tamper with the security of society or threaten its unity, stressing that the efforts made by the security services deserve appreciation and pride, for the responsibility and sacrifices they entail for the sake of preserving the Kingdom's security and stability.

Al-Hawarneh pointed out that the popular rallying around the security services and standing behind them represent a fundamental pillar in strengthening the internal front, calling for not being drawn into rumors or rhetoric that incite strife and hatred, and to rely on information issued by official authorities.

For his part, Dr. Murad Al-Mawajdeh affirmed that the crime that targeted Hamoud Church represents an assault on the entire Jordanian society, and on the values of coexistence and tolerance that form the basis of national identity, stressing that targeting places of worship and the lives of citizens cannot undermine the unity and cohesion of Jordanians.

He said that the efficiency of the security services in pursuing those involved confirms the importance of the role played by state institutions in protecting society and confronting extremist ideology, pointing out that confronting terrorism is not limited to security measures, but also requires strengthening societal awareness and consolidating the culture of accepting the other, and rejecting intolerance, incitement, and hatred.

Al-Mawajdeh added that Jordan, with its Hashemite leadership and cohesive people, possesses the awareness and will that enable it to overcome adversities, stressing the need to strengthen the inclusive national discourse that preserves the unity of the ranks and prevents the exploitation of painful events to sow discord among the people of the same homeland.

In turn, youth and educational activist Haider Al-Tarawneh valued the efforts made by the security services in pursuing the perpetrators of the crime, confirming that Jordanian youth stand with confidence and pride behind state institutions, and believe that maintaining the security of the homeland is a shared responsibility that requires awareness and national commitment from everyone.

He said that the current stage requires youth to play an active role in spreading awareness and confronting extremist ideas, and not to circulate rumors or contribute to spreading content that would incite fear and division, noting that social media should be a space for strengthening national solidarity and spreading a discourse of moderation and responsibility.

Al-Tarawneh affirmed that the strength of society lies in the cohesion of its people and their ability to reject all forms of violence and terrorism, stressing that difference in religion or opinion cannot be a justification for assaulting others or infringing on their right to security and a decent life.

For his part, educator Hassan Al-Batoush emphasized the importance of the educational role in consolidating the values of tolerance, national belonging, and respect for diversity, noting that schools and educational institutions bear a great responsibility in building the awareness of generations and strengthening the concepts of good citizenship and rejecting violence and extremism.

He said that dealing with such events requires a balanced educational discourse that consolidates confidence in state institutions, and enhances among students the importance of respecting the law and maintaining national unity, confirming that the family, school, and society are partners in protecting generations from extremist and inciting ideas.

Al-Batoush valued the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his direct follow-up on the developments of the incident, confirming that the security and safety of Jordanians represent a national priority, and that standing behind the Hashemite leadership and the security services reflects the unity of the Jordanian stance in confronting terrorism.

For his part, former Karak Governorate Council member Helmi Al-Muradat appreciated the King's stance and his confirmation that the perpetrators of terrorist crimes will not escape punishment, stressing that the security services' pursuit of those involved until their arrest reflects the state's seriousness in enforcing the law and holding accountable everyone who threatens the security of the homeland and the unity of its people.

Al-Muradat affirmed that anyone who holds an ideology that seeks to divide Jordanians will face accountability, and that attempts to spread hatred and incite strife will find no place in a society based on brotherhood, solidarity, and respect for diversity, pointing out that the royal stance strengthens confidence in the state's ability to protect its citizens and establish justice, and confirms that the rule of law is the basis for confronting terrorism and extremism.

Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Mutah University, Dr. Manal Taha, added that Jordanians derive confidence and reassurance from the stances of their Hashemite leadership, and confirm their standing behind the King and the security services in confronting everything that targets the Kingdom's security and stability, noting that the cohesion of the internal front and societal awareness form an impenetrable dam against ideas that seek to tear the national fabric.

The speakers stressed that Jordan's security is a shared national responsibility, and that protecting societal peace begins with rejecting strife, incitement, and hatred, adhering to the values of brotherhood and tolerance, and strengthening confidence in national institutions, confirming that Jordanians will remain one rank behind their Hashemite leadership, and that the unity and cohesion of society will remain the first line of defense in confronting extremism and terrorism.
