Spontaneous popular rallying: transforming pain and the critical moment into energy for national solidarity, which was manifested in the Jordanians standing behind their leadership and their army. The affliction of any Jordanian is the affliction of the entire nation, for the values of coexistence, derived from our Sharia and the teachings of our Prophet's guidance, turned the painful terrorist event—in which enemies of the nation and humanity, internally and externally, attempted to cause harm—into an opportunity to prove that we in our Jordanian Hashemite country are but one body. These attempts only increase our adherence to our tolerant, moderate doctrine and make us believe more that one of the greatest blessings of God Almighty upon us is the Hashemite leadership, which is close to us and our pain, and is not above us but with us in our homes and communities, living our pain and preventing every treacherous hand that tries to tamper with the security and stability of the homeland. We noticed that Jordanians went to the site of the terrorist incident, declaring quite frankly, as a message to the forces of evil at home and abroad, that we are one body behind our wise Hashemite leadership.
The firm Royal stance in protecting the state and defending its sanctuary is inseparable from the noble Sharia objectives commanded by the tolerant Islamic law. Preserving the lives of citizens, safeguarding their blood and wealth, and defending the country's stability is, in its essence, one of the greatest religious duties. Security is the fundamental pillar upon which life is based, through which acts of worship are preserved and societies flourish. Based on this meaning, the Royal statements came to consolidate this concept; repelling the aggression of tyranny and hostility, and fighting the misguided extremist ideology that seeks corruption on earth and distorts the image of religion, is a religious duty before it is a national one. Thank God, our Hashemite leadership undertakes this role and performs it in the best possible way. We saw His Majesty the King from the first moments of the attack in his military uniform, through which he sends a message that we will fight such an act regardless of the cost because it has nothing to do with religion. Fighting it and suppressing its internal and external forces is a duty that Jordan, leadership and people, will not abandon, and everyone who stands in the face of this strife and protects the borders of the homeland and its internal security contributes to the elevation of this Hashemite, Mustafawi Arab sanctuary.
The Hashemite leadership realizes that military and security power, despite its utmost importance and high readiness, must be based on a cohesive internal front that is resistant to penetration. Therefore, the Royal directives following the Karak incident and various regional challenges focused on the fact that "the unity of Jordan's sons and daughters is the strongest weapon in confronting terrorism." Thank God, the Jordanian societal awareness, derived from the Royal vision, thwarted the opportunity for the proponents of strife and division. Instead of the incident leading to retreat, fear, or a cause for sowing the seeds of division on religious and ethnic grounds, the blood of the innocent—protected by the provisions of our Islamic Sharia—turned into a new covenant document that strengthens the collective national identity and emphasizes the spirit of good citizenship and the bond of coexistence and a common destiny. Thanks to God first, and thanks to the positions of the wise Hashemite leadership, the Jordanians' holding fast to the rope of their loyalty to their homeland and their leadership became the rock upon which all the illusions of the haters were shattered.
Following the painful incident that occurred at the Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, we were, still are, and will remain, with the help of God Almighty, an example of the stability that Jordan enjoys in a stormy and turbulent environment. This, without a doubt, after the grace and help of God Almighty, is a strategic achievement led by the Hashemites with a clear, forward-looking vision and keen insight. The Royal stance on the Karak incident, and similar attacks, sends a permanent message to the world and to the interior, the essence of which is: Jordan is not an open arena, for Jordan possesses the power, legitimacy, and readiness that enable it to neutralize any danger that threatens its borders or its internal security immediately. Proactive response and treatment: Jordan does not suffice with military defense alone, but follows up and dries up the sources of extremist ideology through comprehensive intellectual and enlightenment strategies led by the King to highlight the values of tolerance and moderation and the rejection of extremism, and the fateful cohesion between the leadership and the people. This unique cohesion has remained the basic doctrine and the fortified shield that protects the Jordanian state with steadfastness, confidence, and cohesion.
The Karak incident, and other challenges that Jordan has faced, will always remind us that this homeland was built on sacrifice and redemption, and that its security was never a mere coincidence, but is, after the grace of God Almighty, the fruit of a unique and courageous Hashemite leadership, security services, and a Mustafawi Arab army that offers the precious and the cheap, and a loyal people who see in the security of their homeland their dignity and honor. The scenes of His Majesty the King's presence himself at the site of the incident yesterday demonstrate the firm Royal stance that is intertwined with the pulse of the street, and prove once again that Jordan will remain an oasis of security and stability, resistant to breaking, surrounded by God's care and then by the awareness of its people and the wisdom of its leadership.
