Palestinian Government: Occupation's escalation in the West Bank requires urgent international intervention

The Palestinian government warned of the danger of the ongoing Israeli escalation in the West Bank, the latest manifestation of which is the collective punishment measures being subjected to Hebron Governorate, including the displacement of residents of entire neighborhoods, the demolition of homes and facilities, and the closure and siege of Palestinian cities, as part of a systematic policy pursued by the occupation government in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, at a time when the camps and cities of the northern West Bank continue to suffer from the repercussions of displacement and demolition, after more than 40,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes since the beginning of 2025, according to the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa".

The government described this criminal escalation as an act of aggression targeting the Palestinian people, their land, and their resources, and held the occupation government fully responsible for this dangerous overreach, demanding that the international community intervene urgently and immediately to stop the occupation and its government from continuing to commit further crimes taking place in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued by the Government Communication Center, it affirmed that this escalation, which has affected all governorates, will not bring security or peace to anyone, and that its continuation will only lead to more tension and escalation, stressing that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast and committed to their land, sanctities, and established historical rights.

It also confirmed that it is following closely and with great interest what is happening in Hebron Governorate and the rest of the Palestinian governorates, and is employing all its capabilities to identify the needs of the Palestinians and intensify efforts to meet them, in a way that contributes to alleviating their suffering under the current circumstances, in addition to continuing its contacts with the relevant authorities to stop these attacks.
