National football team players called on citizens to participate in the 2026 General Population and Housing Census, emphasizing the importance of each individual's contribution in providing an accurate and comprehensive picture that helps determine Jordan's needs and support future planning.
The call came in a video published by the Department of Statistics through its official account on Instagram, featuring several national team players who delivered awareness messages urging citizens to participate in the census, drawing an analogy between the role of an individual in the census and the role of a player on the field, where each individual contributes to completing the picture.
Player Ahmed Al-Jaidi said that the team includes 11 players on the field, and each player has a role, pointing out that analysis and planning precede any match, and that the census is not limited to knowing the current population, but also helps in forming a clearer picture of future needs.
Player Nizar Al-Rashid emphasized that behind every number is a person and a family with needs that should be known, pointing out that Jordan needs the role of every individual to complete the picture, and confirming that his participation in the census is part of his role.
Player Hadi Al-Hourani said that his role is to participate, calling on citizens to do their part and participate in the census, while player Nour Al-Rawabdeh confirmed that every individual is counted in the census.
Player Mahmoud Shawkat called on citizens to participate in the census, in a message emphasizing the importance of everyone's contribution to the success of this national process.
The message concluded by affirming that proper planning starts with a complete picture, and that the participation of every individual contributes to completing the picture of Jordan and providing the necessary data for planning.
The General Population and Housing Census aims to provide accurate and updated data on the number of all those present on Jordanian territory, both Jordanians and non-Jordanians, their distribution, and their characteristics, in addition to housing data, which helps concerned authorities in preparing plans, programs, and policies related to services and development.
The Department of Statistics confirmed that it handles the data with complete confidentiality and uses it for statistical purposes in accordance with the legislation governing statistical work.
