The National Cyber Security Center launched the National Cyber Security Awareness Campaign for 2026, coinciding with Cyber Security Awareness Month, which falls in October each year, as part of an extended national awareness plan aimed at enhancing awareness of cyber risks and threats, and establishing a culture of cyber security among various segments of society.
The campaign is implemented according to a well-thought-out plan and over an extended period of time, forming an umbrella for various awareness activities and programs carried out by the Center. It includes more than 10 digital awareness campaigns addressing various cyber topics, published through various media channels, including television screens, radios, street screens, and social media platforms, in addition to conducting awareness workshops and lectures targeting institutions and various community groups, a podcast program, specialized competitions in producing awareness content, and other activities and events.
The President of the National Cyber Security Center, Engineer Mohammed Al-Smadi, said that the campaign comes within the framework of the Center's approach to expanding the scope of cyber security awareness and reaching various segments of society, stressing that awareness is a fundamental element in the cyber protection system, and that building a more aware community capable of dealing with digital risks requires continuous efforts and diversity of tools and channels.
Al-Smadi added that the campaign targets various segments of society with their different needs, including employees, women, children, adolescents, the elderly, and the corporate sector, through awareness content that takes into account the nature of each group and the digital challenges they face, thereby enhancing everyone's responsibility in protecting the national cyber space.
The campaign includes, during its implementation stages, a set of various programs, events, and awareness messages, contributing to making cyber security awareness a continuous part of the daily behavior of individuals and institutions, and enhancing community participation in efforts to protect the national cyber space.
