"Mutah" hosts the "Reading for All" exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture

Mutah University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, hosted the activities of the "Reading for All" exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry as part of the twentieth edition of the Reading for All Festival. This was held through the Deanship of Student Affairs, under the patronage of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Maher Al-Mubaideen, as part of the university's efforts aimed at enhancing cultural and knowledge movement, and establishing a culture of reading among students and members of the university community.

In his speech, Al-Mubaideen emphasized that the university's hosting of this exhibition stems from its belief in the importance of books in building a conscious and cultured human being, and their role in developing intellectual capabilities, expanding students' horizons, and enhancing research, analysis, and creative thinking skills. He pointed out that reading constitutes a fundamental pillar in building and advancing societies, and an effective tool in preparing a generation that possesses knowledge and the ability to keep pace with changes and challenges.

He added that Mutah University is keen to provide an integrated university environment that is not limited to the academic and educational aspects, but extends to include cultural, intellectual, and creative aspects by embracing initiatives and events that contribute to enriching students' knowledge and encouraging them to read and explore various sources of knowledge. He also emphasized the importance of partnership with the Ministry of Culture in implementing programs and initiatives that serve the national cultural movement.

He pointed out that the "Reading for All" exhibition represents an important opportunity for students, faculty members, administrative staff, and university visitors to view various publications and purchase books at affordable prices, which contributes to making books accessible to various segments of the university community and enhances the presence of reading as a daily practice and a sustainable cultural behavior.

The exhibition is held at the Deanship of Student Affairs from the first to the fifth of November, and presents a variety of publications and books in the fields of knowledge, culture, literature, and thought, as part of the activities of the twentieth edition of the Reading for All Festival, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture with the aim of expanding the base of readers and encouraging various segments of society to read and purchase books.

According to the Department of Cultural and Media Relations at the university, organizing the exhibition comes as an affirmation of the importance of cooperation between academic and cultural institutions in spreading knowledge and providing opportunities for youth to access its various sources, which enhances cultural awareness, develops interest in reading and continuous learning, and contributes to building a knowledge society capable of contributing to the path of development and progress.
