Ministry of Public Works: Closure of the Overpass in Ain Al-Basha for Lighting Rehabilitation

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced the closure of the overpass in the Ain Al-Basha area on the Amman-Jerash road, within a segment approximately 2400 meters long, starting from 12 midnight on Thursday to Friday, corresponding to 10/10/2026, until 12 midnight on Saturday to Sunday, corresponding to 11/10/2026, for the purpose of carrying out lighting network rehabilitation works in the area.
The Ministry stated that the works are being executed by the Directorate of Public Works in the Balqa Governorate, and include the rehabilitation of the lighting network starting from the Ain Al-Basha roundabout up to the Security Center roundabout, as part of one of the tenders being implemented by the Directorate with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of the infrastructure and improving the level of services and traffic safety.
The Ministry clarified that during the closure period, traffic will be diverted to the side service road in the area until the completion of the works, urging road users to adhere to the signposts, traffic instructions, and diversion routes to ensure public safety and to guarantee the execution of the works in a safe and required manner.
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing emphasized its keenness to complete the works and restore traffic to its normal state as soon as they are finished, appreciating the cooperation of citizens, vehicle drivers, and their adherence to traffic instructions during the period of executing the works.
