Messages from the Crown Prince.. The citizen first

The meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was chaired by His Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, was not just a meeting to follow up on government files, but its details carried clear messages related to the priorities of the coming phase, with the title of protecting the economy, enhancing the state's ability to face regional changes, and placing the citizen at the forefront of government attention. What is the importance of these messages?

The most prominent message was purely economic, especially in light of the escalation witnessed by the region and what it may leave behind direct and indirect effects on trade, transportation, and markets. Here, His Highness emphasized dealing with supply chains as a national priority, and maintaining a strategic stockpile of goods and energy, reflecting a trend towards pre-preparedness rather than dealing with crises after they occur.

In turn, the message related to the citizen was clear and direct, stating that plans and programs have no value if they do not reflect on people's lives and their standard of living, directing the government to put the citizen's interest at the forefront of priorities to be the criterion for the success of policies and procedures that should not only be in the size of the projects implemented, but in their actual impact on citizens.

From here also comes the importance of directing the preparation of executive plans linked to time frames, which is an administrative message no less important than economic messages. The coming phase needs speed in implementation, clarity in responsibilities, and specific deadlines for completion, so that plans do not remain within the framework of general titles or programs whose results are difficult to measure.

As for the tourism sector, it was present as one of the main drivers of the national economy, not only from the angle of increasing the number of visitors, but also through improving the management of tourist sites, developing the tourist experience, and diversifying target markets. This means that today's tourism competition is not only about owning tourist sites and products, but also about the efficiency of their management and the ability to market them.

His Highness also referred to the digitalization file and the implementation of SIND and the Digital Health Center, calling on the government to improve the management of government data, as artificial intelligence will not be more effective than the data on which government institutions rely, because the more accurate, integrated, and timely the data, the greater the government's ability to read indicators and make evidence-based decisions.

In conclusion, the most important message is that the coming phase needs a government that moves quickly, sets measurable goals, and knows that the citizen is the ultimate beneficiary of all these policies. An economy capable of facing crises, tourism capable of growth, digital services capable of facilitating, and supply chains capable of continuing, are all ultimately tools aimed at enhancing stability and improving the lives of Jordanians.
