Major General Al-Ma'aytah meets with the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission and discusses developing institutional cooperation and joint coordination

Major General Dr. Obeidallah Al-Ma'aytah, Director of Public Security, met today, Thursday, at the Directorate building, with the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Engineer Mousa Al-Ma'aytah, where they discussed aspects of institutional cooperation and joint coordination, and ways to develop plans and procedures related to electoral processes, ensuring their implementation in accordance with the provisions of the law and the best modern practices.
The Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission affirmed that the Public Security Directorate represents a major national partner in protecting and ensuring the safety of the electoral process, due to its pivotal role in providing a safe and organized environment, and enabling citizens to exercise their constitutional rights freely and with confidence.
He praised the professionalism and readiness of the Public Security personnel, and the successes they have achieved in securing various stages of the electoral process, appreciating the level of coordination between the two sides, and what is translated into reality through the implementation of security duties supporting the stages of the electoral process, which will begin this year with the elections in the chambers of industry and commerce, in addition to the upcoming constitutional requirements.
For his part, the Director of Public Security confirmed that the integration between the Directorate and the Independent Electoral Commission constitutes a fundamental pillar in providing a safe and organized electoral environment, ensuring the protection of constitutional requirements and the rule of law, pointing to the accumulated expertise and successes achieved over the previous years, and the plans prepared by the Directorate to continue to fulfill its responsibilities with the highest levels of professionalism and readiness.
Major General Al-Ma'aytah pointed to the Public Security Directorate's keenness to continue coordinating with the Independent Electoral Commission, and holding joint meetings and workshops, to contribute to evaluating procedures, avoiding observations, and enhancing positives, developing specialized plans and procedures, and enhancing the speed of response and efficiency of field performance, ensuring the highest levels of readiness to deal with various stages of the electoral process in all upcoming requirements.
