Lebanon.. 3 people killed, raising the toll of Israeli aggression to 4,389 since March

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Monday that 3 people were killed over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 to 4,389 dead and 12,424 wounded.

In a daily statistical report, the ministry stated that 3 people were killed during the past 24 hours, raising the cumulative toll of victims from March 2 to October 12 to 4,389 dead and 12,424 wounded.

It explained that one person was killed by Israeli artillery shelling, and two by the explosion of war remnants in southern Lebanon.

This coincided with an Israeli airstrike, artillery shelling, and combing operations with heavy machine guns in the south of the country.

It added that the total number of victims since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,956 dead and 30,660 wounded.

Since that date, Lebanon has been subjected to Israeli attacks that have resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries, with the pace escalating again since March 2.

The attacks continue despite the signing by Beirut and Tel Aviv, on June 26, of a "framework formula" under American sponsorship, which provides for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army therein.

Despite the agreement, Israel continues its attacks in southern Lebanon, while it still occupies Lebanese areas, some for decades, and others it seized during recent wars and military operations.
