Launching a Campaign to Clean the Seabed on Aqaba Marine Reserve Visitor Center Beach

The Naval Force and Royal Motorboats Command executed, on Tuesday, a beach and seabed cleaning campaign at the Aqaba Marine Reserve Visitor Center Beach, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and with the participation of a team of divers from the Naval Force and Royal Motorboats Command, the Civil Defense, the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, the Aqaba Diving Association, and several schools from the directorates of education in Aqaba Governorate.

These campaigns are organized by Oxfam Jordan and the Regional Cooperation Program for the Mediterranean Basin, in cooperation with the European Union Delegation to Jordan and the Aqaba Marine Reserve, and with the participation of the United Nations Development Programme.

This type of campaign brings together various parties and participants around a common goal, which is to care for the marine and coastal environment of Aqaba, and to contribute to the preservation of its beaches and biodiversity.
