Jordan Post Launches New Commemorative Issue of Postcards Documenting Jordan's Most Prominent Civilizational Landmarks

Jordan Post announces the launch of a new commemorative issue of postcards, celebrating three of the Kingdom's most prominent religious, historical, and archaeological landmarks, as part of its ongoing role in documenting Jordan's national and historical heritage and highlighting the Kingdom's culturally and touristically valuable sites.

The issue features three outstanding landmarks of Jordanian civilization and history, namely:

Al-Maghtas: One of the most significant religious and historical sites on the Jordan River, due to its global spiritual and civilizational importance.

Umm ar-Rasas: An Umayyad architectural masterpiece adorned with wall paintings and inscriptions that reflect aspects of Islamic art and culture.

Petra Rose Red: The Nabataean city carved into the rock, and one of Jordan's most prominent civilizational and tourist symbols, representing a globally significant historical value.

This issue aims to document the national and historical heritage, highlight the religious, archaeological, and civilizational diversity that the Kingdom is rich in, preserve this national memory for future generations, and convey the image of a civilized Jordan to different parts of the world.

The commemorative postcards will be available starting Sunday, September 27, 2026, at a price of 1.40 Jordanian Dinars per card. Those interested in purchasing them can visit the Stamps Section at the Jordan Post building located in Al-Muqabilin, next to the Radio and Television Building.
