Jordan is stronger

Perhaps what hardships reveal most is the true nature of societies; the strength of nations is not measured by the absence of crises, for no country possesses that, but rather by its ability to handle crises, contain their effects, and prevent them from turning into factors of division and discord. Hence, the real bet in such circumstances is not on the scale of the shock the society is exposed to, but on the awareness of its citizens and their ability to distinguish between the crime and those trying to exploit it, and between the criminal act and what may be intended to result from it in terms of sedition, hatred, or division.

Jordanian history has taught us that national cohesion is not achieved through slogans alone, but through daily stances in which Jordanians reaffirm their mutual respect, stand by each other in times of hardship, and reject everything that touches the dignity of any citizen or their right to security and life. The importance of these stances increases when societies are subjected to difficult tests, as the responsible word, balanced stance, and sincere solidarity become essential elements in protecting civil peace and enhancing trust between citizens and their state institutions.

Jordan, with its history and experience, possesses an important asset of coexistence and solidarity among its people, and preserving this asset is everyone's responsibility. It is also a responsibility that requires continuous care, especially by educational institutions where their curricula and classrooms build the values of respecting differences, equal opportunities, and justice, and enhance trust between the citizen and state institutions. National unity is not built only in times of danger, but is safeguarded every day when every Jordanian feels that they have a dignified place in their homeland, that their rights are protected, and that their difference in religion, origin, or opinion does not detract from their citizenship or belonging.

In the end, what we want from these painful events is not to forget them, but to extract from them what enhances our humanity, awareness, and responsibility. The blood of the victims and the pain of their families deserve truth, justice, and solidarity, just as the homeland deserves to be protected from every attempt to turn pain into division, fear into hatred, and difference into conflict. Jordan will remain stronger when its sons and daughters realize that their diversity is a source of enrichment, their security is one, their future is shared, and true belonging to the homeland is manifested in protecting human beings, safeguarding their dignity, and standing by them, regardless of their religion or origin.
