The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that the visit of the Pakistani Interior Minister to Tehran will address bilateral relations, denying any intention to exchange specific messages regarding mediation, as reported by Iranian television.
He added that the violation of the memorandum of understanding under the pretext of the attack on 3 ships was a "pre-prepared scenario", affirming that Tehran's demands for the complete lifting of sanctions and the end of the naval blockade remain in place.
The spokesperson said that the continuation of the naval blockade represents a "clear act of aggression", and it is not possible to talk about ending the conflict or normalizing conditions in the region before the complete lifting of sanctions and the cessation of the naval blockade.
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he said that the agreement with the Sultanate of Oman regarding the strait should be seen by the active parties in the region as a real opportunity, noting that Iran has worked with Muscat over weeks to develop precise specifications for a safe commercial navigation route.
He added that the outcomes of the understandings with the Sultanate of Oman were scheduled to be presented at the Salalah meeting with the rest of the regional countries.
