Inmates of Rehabilitation Centers Participate in 'Reading Marathon 2026'

The administration of rehabilitation centers participated, on Tuesday, in the activities of the 'Reading Marathon 2026', organized by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, with wide participation from national and cultural institutions, in a step that embodies its interest in enhancing cultural and cognitive programs as one of the basic pillars in the modern rehabilitation and reform system.

This participation comes as an extension of the programs implemented by the administration within the rehabilitation centers, aimed at entrenching a culture of reading and developing the intellectual and cognitive abilities of the inmates, which contributes to building their personalities and enhancing their positive integration into society.

The libraries of the rehabilitation centers witnessed a noticeable interaction from the inmates with the marathon events, after completing all the necessary preparations and providing a diverse range of books and publications covering multiple cognitive and cultural fields, alongside the implementation of accompanying cultural activities aimed at encouraging reading and enhancing the values of continuous learning and self-development.

The administration of the rehabilitation centers continues to implement its educational and cultural programs, starting from its comprehensive reform vision that places the human being at the center of the rehabilitation process, and believes that knowledge and awareness form an important basis for rebuilding positive behavior and developing abilities.

The 'Reading Marathon' is one of the leading annual initiatives that seeks to spread the culture of reading and enhance the presence of the book in daily life, and to entrench knowledge as a civilized value and an effective tool in the development of individuals and societies.
