The bloc led by the former president of the Irbid Chamber of Industry, Hani Abu Hassan, has won the chamber's board of directors elections by acclamation. This follows the official closure of the nomination period, with the number of candidates settling at nine, which is the full number of seats on the board, as no other candidates or competitors emerged at the sector level.
According to the Independent Election Commission records, the nomination period for the industrial chamber elections closed at 12:00 PM, with no other blocs or candidates registering to meet the nomination requirements. Consequently, the Abu Hassan bloc remained the only one running, paving the way for a state of full consensus and the acclamation of the upcoming board.
The committee overseeing the elections is expected to officially announce tomorrow the names of the winners of the Irbid Chamber of Industry board seats by acclamation, who include: Hani Abu Hassan (the former president of the chamber for more than one term), Hussein Al-Daraysah, Nidal Al-Hasi, Amin Al-Ramahi, Khaled Al-Kharashqa, Mamoun Halawa, Mamoun Khader, Mohammad Oweis, and Mazen Al-Ramah.
Abu Hassan, his bloc members, and several members of the general assembly praised the consensus that prevailed in the electoral scene, which was driven by prioritizing the public interest of the industrial sector and achieving full harmony within the upcoming board to ensure it performs its duties efficiently and effectively.
They also noted that this consensus reflects confidence in the incoming board and its ability to build on previous achievements, its commitment to defending the interests of the industrial sector, providing the foundations for growth, support, and empowerment at all levels, strengthening the volume of national industry, especially exports, and achieving added value for the local and national economy.
