Irbid industrialists settle Chamber elections by acclamation ahead of voting

The head of the Irbid Chamber of Industry election committee, Hakam Al-Dwairi, said that the number of candidates for the Irbid Chamber of Industry elections, scheduled for October 3, reached 9 candidates.

Al-Dwairi added to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) on Thursday that the nomination period for the 9-seat Irbid Chamber of Industry board of directors closed on Wednesday, as the committee received nomination applications from 9 people, noting that the candidates' papers will be examined, approved, and sent to the Independent Election Commission, with the final list to be published next Monday.

In turn, Hani Abu Hassan said that an agreement was reached with Irbid industrialists to form a new board of directors as a single bloc by acclamation, consisting of Hani Abu Hassan as head of the bloc, and the membership of Hussein Al-Daraiseh, Nidal Al-Hasi, Amin Al-Ramahi, Khaled Al-Kharashqa, Mamoun Halawa, Mamoun Khader, Mohammad Oweis, and Mazen Al-Ramah.

Abu Hassan indicated that the consensus on a new board of directors by acclamation would grant the Chamber's administration more stability and the ability to work according to established plans aimed at enhancing exports and growth in all industrial sectors.
