"Gartner 2026" honors the UAE's "TAMM" platform for its excellence in government innovation

"Gartner 2026" honors the UAE's "TAMM" platform for its excellence in government innovation

The "TAMM" platform, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi government, has won the award for Best Government Initiative in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, as part of the "Eye on Innovation" awards for governments for 2026, presented by "Gartner," in recognition of its use of advanced technology and artificial intelligence in developing government services.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement developed the platform in collaboration with more than 45 government entities, as part of the emirate's efforts to transition into the world's first AI-powered government by 2027.

"TAMM" provides more than 1,200 public and private services, benefiting approximately 4.7 million people, while 96% of service requests are completed self-serviced, according to data announced by the platform.

The "Self-Government" feature stands out as one of the most prominent applications of artificial intelligence on the platform. Launched in October 2025, the company introduced it as the world's first AI-powered digital government employee, as it relies on AI agents to execute tasks on behalf of users proactively.

The feature enables a shift from a government model that relies on individuals submitting requests for services to a model that responds to events and initiates necessary procedures before the user requests them. Examples include renewing commercial licenses before they expire and renewing People of Determination cards in a timely manner, without the need to initiate procedures manually.

Dr. Mohamed Al Askar, Director General of the "TAMM" platform at the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Enablement, said that the platform seeks to provide government services before individuals request them, and before deadlines pass or their interests are disrupted.

He added that the cooperation between government entities in the emirate has contributed to saving millions of hours annually for customers and helping them avoid fines, considering that the "Gartner" recognition reflects Abu Dhabi's ambition to provide faster, smoother, and more proactive government services by relying on artificial intelligence.

Six months after the launch of "Self-Government," the feature helped settle payments on behalf of users, including traffic fines, and contributed to sparing them late payment fines exceeding 17 million dirhams.

Customer satisfaction also reached 94.8%, while the volume of transactions increased by 40% on a quarterly basis, according to data provided by the platform.

These results reflect "TAMM's" trend towards automating repetitive procedures and reducing the need for user intervention, thereby limiting delays and enhancing the ease of access to government services.

The platform's data indicates that the digital adoption rate is 98%, while its services contribute to eliminating more than 37 million visits to government service centers annually, saving time and effort for individuals.

The award highlights the scope of services provided by "TAMM" and the role of artificial intelligence in developing the customer experience, within the framework of Abu Dhabi's strategy for digital transformation and expanding the scope of proactive government services.
