The Egyptian Armed Forces announced the continued implementation of the third phase of the campaign to combat illegal gold ore mining in the Eastern Desert.
It added that the campaign aims to impose full sovereignty within the borders of the Egyptian state and protect its national capabilities and wealth, noting that it has dropped warning leaflets on "criminal elements" in the Eastern Desert.
