The defending champion did not show a performance that would qualify them to win the match, as they were looking to compensate for their heavy loss in the first round against Al-Jazeera with a 5-0 score, while Baqaa in turn fought until the end and stood firmly looking for a win as well, but the draw imposed itself.
With this result, Al-Hussein gained their first points in the league and remained in eighth place, while Baqaa added their fourth point, advancing to second place in the standings.
The round had opened the day before yesterday with a match between Al-Jazeera and Shabab Al-Ordon, and a 1-1 draw ruled the result of the match. Al-Jazeera continued to lead the standings with four points on goal difference ahead of Baqaa, while Shabab Al-Ordon remained temporarily in fourth place with two points in their pocket.
The round concludes today with a match between Al-Ramtha and Al-Arabi at six o'clock in the evening at King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Quwaismah, and at Amman International Stadium, Al-Salt and Al-Wehdat will face each other at eight-thirty in the evening.
The tournament is held in a three-stage single-round robin system, and the team that collects the highest number of points at the end of the three stages is crowned champion, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the First Division.
