The inspection tour comes within the framework of continuous field follow-up on Royal initiatives and assessing the reality of projects that have been implemented and those still under construction, ensuring the achievement of their developmental and service goals and that their impact is directly reflected on the lives of citizens and local communities.
Al-Issawi began his tour by visiting the Potash Day Care Center for Inclusive Services in Ajloun, which was established as part of the Royal initiatives and is concerned with the rehabilitation and care of persons with disabilities.
During his tour of the center's facilities, in the presence of Acting Ajloun Governor Ali Al-Haisa and the head of the Greater Ajloun Municipality Committee, Engineer Mohammad Al-Bashabsheh, he was briefed on the nature of the services and programs it provides to persons with disabilities, and its role in rehabilitating them, developing their capabilities and skills, and enhancing their opportunities for integration and community participation.
The center, which was opened on June 5, 2023, covers an area of 862 square meters and consists of two floors containing classrooms, facilities for physical and occupational therapy and early intervention, and rooms designated for psychologists and social workers, equipped with the necessary equipment and supplies, in addition to halls for meetings, activities, and computers.
The center constitutes a qualitative addition to the system of care and rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities in the governorate by providing a specialized environment that helps beneficiaries develop their capabilities, contributes to alleviating the burdens on their families, and enhances their chances of obtaining quality services near their places of residence.
In the second stop, Al-Issawi visited the Ajloun Business Incubator, which His Majesty the King opened in 2019 as a Royal initiative, with the aim of supporting youth and enabling them to transform their entrepreneurial ideas and projects into sustainable economic and productive opportunities.
In the presence of Al-Haisa, Engineer Al-Bashabsheh, Deputy Chairman of the Royal Scientific Society Engineer Raafat Al-Assi, Director of the Business Incubator (iPARK) Engineer Sireen Al-Dweiri, and Director General of Irada Centers Engineer Sami Al-Oleimi, he was briefed on the incubator's facilities and programs, and its role in providing training, rehabilitation, technical support, and consultations to entrepreneurs, and helping them establish and develop their projects, especially in sectors where the governorate enjoys competitive advantages, primarily tourism and agriculture.
It is noteworthy that in 2024, the Royal Scientific Society took over the management and operation of the incubator through the iPARK business incubator and the "Irada" centers program affiliated with the Society, with the aim of developing an integrated system to support entrepreneurship and innovation, enhance the technical and administrative capabilities of youth, and link their projects to national business support programs.
At the end of 2025, the incubator witnessed the rehabilitation of its headquarters, located within the Learning Resources building of the Directorate of Education in Ajloun, and its equipping to accommodate the "Irada / Ajloun" offices.
The incubator gains importance in providing an environment that fosters the ideas and ambitions of youth, and expands opportunities for self-employment and small and emerging projects, which enhances youth participation in local economic activity and contributes to investing in the resources and opportunities available in the governorate.
In the Al-Hashimiya area, Al-Issawi inspected the project to construct the Al-Hashimiya Primary Health Center, which is being implemented under Royal directives as part of the Royal initiatives, within the framework of efforts aimed at developing the infrastructure of the health sector and expanding the scope of primary health services provided to citizens.
In the presence of Al-Haisa and the head of the Al-Shifa Municipality Committee, Basima Al-Amoush, he was briefed on the progress of the project and its implementation stages. The completion rate has reached about 35 percent, and it is being implemented using a prefabricated building system according to the requirements of the Ministry of Health, as the center is being built on an area of 1,700 square meters, while the building area is 760 square meters.
Once completed and operational, the center will contribute to enhancing primary health services for the residents of the area and neighboring regions, facilitating citizens' access to healthcare, and alleviating the burdens of travel to obtain health services.
Within the framework of the Royal interest in enhancing Ajloun's position as a tourism and development destination, Al-Issawi visited the Ajloun Development Zone Visitor Center project, which is being implemented through the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group.
He also visited the seasonal market of the Ajloun Cable Car station, where he viewed the exhibits and products produced by the men and women of the local community in the governorate.
He also inspected the Ajloun National Park, one of the projects of the comprehensive tourism master plan for the governorate, which was launched in 2023 on the sidelines of the Royal visit to the governorate.
In the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group, Sakher Al-Ajlouni, Al-Haisa, and Engineer Al-Bashabsheh, he was briefed on the construction works and implementation stages of the project, which the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group is implementing in two phases. The completion rate of the construction works for the first phase reached about 83 percent, while it reached about 34 percent in the second phase.
The park is one of four projects included in the first package of the comprehensive tourism master plan for Ajloun Governorate, which enjoys Royal follow-up, with the aim of developing the tourism product and maximizing the benefit from the natural and environmental features enjoyed by the governorate.
Once completed and operational, the project will contribute to diversifying tourism and recreational activities and facilities, enhancing the governorate's attractiveness to visitors, and creating new economic opportunities for local communities, especially in sectors related to tourism services and small projects.
Al-Issawi concluded his inspection tour by visiting the Government House building in the Ishtafina area, which represents one of the landmarks associated with the founding of the Jordanian state, dating back to 1949, during the reign of the late King Abdullah I bin Al-Hussein, may God rest his soul.
In the presence of Al-Haisa, Engineer Al-Bashabsheh, Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture for Forestry and Rangeland Affairs Engineer Khaled Al-Qudah, and Ajloun Tourism Director Dr. Firas Khatatbeh, he was briefed on the state of the building and toured its facilities.
This visit comes in light of repeated demands from the people of the region to rehabilitate it and turn it into a tourist and heritage landmark, in a way that preserves its symbolism and heritage value, especially since the site has a competitive advantage and an opportunity to be exploited as a tourist resort, as it is close to important tourist sites such as Ajloun Castle, the cable car, the Ajloun Forest Reserve, and Mar Elias, and is located in the middle of the natural Ishtafina forests. Together, these sites form an integrated tourist destination for visitors to the governorate.
The building currently belongs to the Ajloun Agriculture Directorate and is used as a forestry station to monitor forests in the area.
Al-Issawi said in press statements that inspecting the Royal initiative projects in Ajloun Governorate today comes within the framework of continuous field follow-up on these projects and assessing their reality and the services they provide to the people of the governorate.
He explained that these tours come in implementation of His Majesty the King's directives regarding the necessity of following up on projects on the ground, directly viewing the progress of work on them, and ensuring that their implementation stages are proceeding according to the specified plans and schedules, and in a way that achieves the goals for which they were established.
He emphasized that the follow-up is not limited to projects under construction, but also includes completed projects to ensure that they provide the required services and achieve the desired benefit from them, pointing to the keenness to monitor any difficulties that may face the progress of work and cooperate with the concerned authorities to address them, ensuring the completion of projects as required.
Al-Issawi stressed that the primary goal of these initiatives, as His Majesty the King always emphasizes, is to serve the citizen and improve their standard of living through projects that meet their needs and provide them with better services and opportunities for work and production, so that they can feel their impact directly in their daily lives.
