Capital Bank organized an interactive meeting that brought together the bank's CEO, Tamer Ghazaleh, and several members of the bank's leadership team with promising Jordanian athletes sponsored by the bank, with the aim of getting to know their experiences and aspirations, and listening to the challenges they face in their sports careers.
The meeting took place in an informal atmosphere that allowed young athletes to ask questions and engage in an open dialogue with the bank's leadership team about talent development, dealing with stress, making decisions at critical stages, and achieving a balance between sports, study, and professional life.
The dialogue also covered the skills that sports build outside the competitive field, primarily discipline, time management, teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to recover after a setback; these are skills that form an important asset for success in study, work, and leadership.
Toleen Barto, Capital Bank's Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication, said that the meeting embodies the bank's vision of always being ready to empower individuals, develop their potential, and support them in preparing for the opportunities and challenges of the coming stages.
Barto added that supporting young athletes is not limited to helping them compete and achieve success, but also includes celebrating their achievements, boosting their confidence in their abilities, and encouraging them to apply what they have learned from sports in their education, career choices, and community participation, with special attention to highlighting the presence of Jordanian women in sports and expanding the opportunities available to them.
The list of athletes sponsored by the bank includes rally driver Farah Zakaria, the first girl to win the Jordan Karting Championship in 2007, and the only representative from the Middle East and North Africa region to qualify for the finals of the global 'FIA Rally Star' Championship, in addition to achieving more than 30 podium finishes and recording the first Jordanian participation in the Rally Paa within the World Championship.
The list also includes national fencing team player Celine Abu Obeid, who is preparing to participate in the Dakar Youth Olympic Games after undergoing two training camps in Europe, and national Jiu-Jitsu team player Maya Ishaqat, who is one of the most prominent champions on the international Jiu-Jitsu scene; her record includes winning silver in 2023 and bronze in 2022 at the World Championship in Abu Dhabi, in addition to bronze at the 2025 Asian Championship and gold at the 2025 West Asia Championship. At the local and regional levels, Maya continues to dominate by winning seven gold medals at the Jordan National Championship and four gold medals at the AJP (AJP) Tour in Abu Dhabi.
In addition to hurdle jumper Sind Mu'ath, registered with the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, who began his official participation under the umbrella of the Federation in 2023, and who recently won the 2026 Jordan Cup title for the 100 equestrian category.
Through its sponsorship of these talents, Capital Bank continues to invest in the energies of Jordanian youth and open up spaces that allow them to develop their abilities and continue their journey with confidence, based on the conviction that supporting talent in its early stages expands opportunities for achievement and creates models that inspire a new generation of athletes.
