According to British financial reports, the British "FTSE 100" index, which includes the largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, fell by 0.3 percent at the start of trading.
Shares of "Endeavour Mining" and the British oil company "BP" were among the biggest losers, as each fell by about 1.7 percent.
The "STOXX Europe 600" index, which measures the performance of the largest European companies, also fell by 0.3 percent at the start of market trading.
