Awn National Cultural Association condemns and denounces the terrorist act against a church in the city of Karak

The Awn National Cultural Association expresses its deepest condemnation and strong denunciation of the terrorist act that targeted Hamoud Church in the city of Karak, and affirms its categorical rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism, and violence, and everything that would undermine the security and stability of the homeland, or sow discord and hatred among the members of the unified Jordanian society.

The Association affirms that such criminal acts will not undermine the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, and will not succeed in shaking the solid national fabric that has always formed the source of Jordan's strength and resilience.

Jordan, under its wise Hashemite leadership, has presented a firm model of coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect, and its people, regardless of their religions, origins, and ethnicities, have remained partners in building the nation and preserving its security and stability.

The Association stresses that the distinguished historical and national relationship that brings together Muslims and Christians in Jordan represents an authentic pillar of the Jordanian national identity, and a firm value in the conscience of Jordanians, based on brotherhood, equal citizenship, and mutual respect, and rejects all attempts to sow sedition or exploit religion to achieve criminal or subversive goals.

The Association also affirms its adherence to the constants of the Jordanian state, the rule of law, and the consolidation of the values of citizenship, justice, and tolerance, and standing as one in the face of anyone who attempts to tamper with Jordan's security or undermine its national unity, calling for strengthening societal awareness, rejecting hate speech and incitement, and preserving the spirit of love and brotherhood that brings together the people of Jordan.

While renewing its firm position in condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, the Awn National Cultural Association affirms that protecting national unity is a shared responsibility, and that Jordan's true strength lies in the cohesion of its leadership and people, and in the belief of its citizens that the homeland unites them, and that its security and stability are above all considerations.

May God protect our homeland, our leadership, and our Jordanian people from all harm, and may He perpetuate His blessings and grace upon us under the shadow of the leader of our blessed journey, His Hashemite Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, and his faithful Crown Prince.
