Arab Bank renews its support for the "Back to School" program of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation

Arab Bank has renewed its cooperation agreement with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation to support the "Back to School" program of the Foundation and the King Hussein Cancer Center for the academic year 2026-2027, contributing to enabling more than 400 male and female cancer patients to continue their education during treatment.

The Bank's support for the program continues the cooperation journey that began in 2017, which included providing support to more than 3,300 male and female cancer patients at various educational stages, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

The Arab Bank's support for the program reflects its belief in the importance of providing educational opportunities for children and adolescents during the treatment period, which effectively contributes to giving them a sense of achievement and integration, enhances their ability to face challenges with greater confidence, and helps them maintain a spirit of initiative and positive interaction with their surroundings, thereby supporting their psychological and social development during the treatment period.

The Bank's support for the program includes a set of educational initiatives that meet the needs of students during the treatment journey, including the participation of bank employees as volunteers in providing weekly classes and private lessons for patients, in addition to providing educational supplies and tools such as stationery, school furniture, books, and laptops, as well as covering the school expenses of the sick children.

Commenting on this cooperation, Mrs. Nisreen Qatamesh, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, said: "We appreciate our ongoing cooperation with Arab Bank and its continuous support for the 'Back to School' program, which forms an important part of the support system provided to children and adolescents during the treatment journey. Enabling students to continue their education and maintain their connection with their academic and social lives contributes to enhancing their self-confidence and motivates them to continue achieving in a phase that requires a lot of support and care."

The "Back to School" program aims to enable children with cancer to continue their education during the treatment period, contributing to enhancing their self-confidence and maintaining their sense of normal life. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, where the King Hussein Cancer Center annually appoints female teachers to teach students within the center, and exams are held within the center under the supervision of the Ministry. This is to ensure the continuity of the educational process for students and enable them to continue their academic journey concurrently with their treatment journey.
