Analytical reading of the King's speech at the 81st session of the General Assembly

This Israeli government is aware of the power of attention, and recently it has not liked bringing attention to what it is doing on the ground.

His Majesty King Abdullah II in this speech put the world and the international community before its legal and moral responsibilities, and the double standards in the application of international law and the lack of accountability for violations threaten the international security and stability system, and undermine confidence in international institutions; because Israel has a constant feeling of impunity, then international decisions become ink on paper, as the international community with its institutions has been able to manage the conflict but not to resolve it, as the temporary reality on the ground has become permanent, and the permanent has become a systematic policy of the Israeli government without respect for the law and the international community, and without considering the proposals and solutions.

Israel killed 300 children in Gaza daily, and the US President in the Gaza peace project was able to stop the war, but Israel continues to persist in the war daily, the issue comes when we call things by their names, and what we see in the West Bank is a radical change on the ground as a result of Israeli aggression: killing, demolishing homes, and expanding settlements. The demolition of homes and the expulsion of Palestinians from their homes is the main goal of expelling Palestinians abroad, and according to international law, this is called forced deportation, and the annexation policy continues, and the government's policies are proceeding in a systematic way to empty the land of its inhabitants.

Forced displacement is a war crime, and we must abandon some illusions that Gaza and the West Bank are separate, no, on the contrary, it is one issue, that the annexation operations aim ultimately to prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and this is a policy that has been adopted since Oslo 1993, and the maps have changed, and since then, land has been nibbled piece by piece, and its ambition does not stop at Palestine, but goes beyond it, and this constitutes an expansionist approach that threatens the entire region, as expansionist ambitions exist in the mind of this government, and what is happening in Syria is clear, but the international community does not want to see.

For Jordan, there is no ambiguity, any attack or threat to our northern borders or our water security is a threat to our national security, and we will protect our borders, our waters, and the interests of our people, they portray it as a religious war between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, it is not, it is not a religious war, everyone has full rights and freedom.

Israel claims to govern by law, and it is not, is this the behavior of a democratic state? What it is doing is nothing but war crimes contrary to what is stated in international law. They promote the idea of an alternative homeland, the alternative homeland will not happen, and we will not accept the displacement of Palestinians because it is a war crime, will we act? Inaction is not an option for us, we must move towards boycott, sanctions, as used against other countries, that we have suffered preserving the holy sites and playing our historical role in protecting the Hashemite custodianship and protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites.
