The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Jabal Luweibdeh will host next Sunday an interactive theatrical experience titled "All This and More", as part of the "Showbox" Performing Arts Festival.
Directed at young audiences, in an experience that invites the public to interact with stories addressing displacement, memory, and humanity.
The experience is based on presenting a form of immersive theatre that transcends the traditional relationship between the stage and the audience, as the participants' role is not limited to watching, but extends to moving within the performance space and interacting with its details, allowing them to get closer to the presented stories and discover their human dimensions.
The work is created by Simon Sharkey, in collaboration with the National Center for Culture and Arts, with support from the British Council, and comes within events that allow young audiences to learn about different forms of theatrical expression and performing arts.
The themes of displacement and memory open the door to questions related to the human experience, the impact of transformations and uprooting from a place on individuals' lives, and the role of stories in preserving memory and reconsidering personal and collective experiences.
The event will take place at 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Jabal Luweibdeh, Amman.
