The activities included distributing brochures and awareness leaflets prepared by the school, which included information and guidelines on the dangers of smoking, the importance of prevention, and the need to avoid behaviors that negatively affect students' health and lifestyle, in addition to emphasizing the importance of practicing healthy habits that help build a more aware and health-conscious generation.
Dr. Al-Taraona appreciated the initiative and the meaningful awareness messages it carried, praising the efforts of the administrative and teaching staff and the students of Al-Saify Basic School for Girls in preparing and implementing the initiative, stressing the importance of the role of schools in promoting health and preventive culture among students and providing an educational environment that helps them acquire positive behaviors.
Al-Taraona said that student initiatives that address health, environmental, and community issues provide an important space for students to express their awareness and play their role in spreading positive messages, pointing out that the school's message is not limited to academic education, but extends to building the student's personality and enhancing their awareness and responsibility towards their health, school, and community.
He affirmed that the 'Breaths Without Smoke' initiative aligns with the objectives of the Royal initiative 'My School, I Belong', by enhancing students' belonging to their schools, their care for their environment and health, and encouraging them to take the initiative and actively participate in activities that contribute to making the school a safe, healthy, and attractive learning environment.
Al-Taraona called on schools to continue implementing awareness, health, and environmental initiatives, and to expand student participation in them, giving them the opportunity to turn their knowledge into practical actions and impactful messages, and to enhance their spirit of teamwork, belonging, and responsibility, leading to the building of a generation aware of health and community issues, and safer, more positive, and smoke-free schools.
