Al-Khawaldeh: King's Speech at the UN Embodies Jordan's Stance on Regional Issues

Dr. Reza Al-Khawaldeh, President of the Jordanian Association for Scientific Research, Innovation, and Creativity, affirmed that King Abdullah II's speech before the United Nations General Assembly reflected Jordan's clear vision towards the challenges facing the region and the world, and embodied the Kingdom's constants in defending its security, stability, and national interests, primarily the Palestinian issue and its direct implications on the region's security and future.

Al-Khawaldeh said in a statement to the Association today that the royal speech carried a clear message to the international community about the need for serious engagement with the crises and wars witnessed by the region, and not allowing them to continue or dealing with their humanitarian, political, and security repercussions as a routine matter, affirming that Jordan, located in the heart of this turbulent region, is directly concerned with finding fair and sustainable solutions to these crises.

He added that the King's emphasis on the centrality of the Palestinian issue and the necessity of ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, alongside respect for international law and legitimate international resolutions, reflects the steadfastness of the Jordanian position and the Kingdom's commitment to a just peace that achieves security and stability for the region and its peoples.

Al-Khawaldeh pointed out that the King's speech emphasizes the importance of Jordan's continued role in international forums, conveying the voice of the region and its issues, and defending the values of justice, humanity, and international law, thereby enhancing Jordan's status and role in facing regional and international crises.

He stressed that the Association sees in the royal speech a clear national and international message affirming the necessity of prioritizing dialogue, diplomacy, and political solutions, and building a more secure and stable future for Jordan and the region.
