The Greater Al-Karak Municipality, through the efforts of its staff, has developed a new electronic application aimed at enhancing the efficiency of emergency management and facilitating the tracking of reports and field observations, thereby raising the level of coordination and response speed during emergency weather conditions, in a qualitative step towards digital transformation and modernizing the institutional work environment.
During a meeting held with the operations and emergency room team to review the mechanism of the developed electronic system, examine the work plan and preparations for the winter season, and assess the readiness of field teams and coordination mechanisms for handling emergencies, the Chairman of the Municipality Committee, Dr. Mohammad Al-Manasir, emphasized that this step reflects the municipality's orientation towards investing in the capabilities of its staff and employing internally developed technical solutions to modernize the municipal work system and enhance its readiness to deal with the winter season, which will reflect on the quality of services provided to citizens and the efficiency of responding to their needs.
He pointed out that the development of this application represents a qualitative shift in work mechanisms within the municipality by transitioning to a unified electronic system for documenting reports and tracking their processing, which contributes to saving time, facilitating task distribution, and enhancing the accuracy of information and speed of decision-making, in addition to providing a database that can be utilized in evaluating performance and improving future response plans.
Engineer Obada Al-Rahaifeh, who developed the application, explained that the application constitutes an integrated digital tool for managing observations and reports during emergencies, as it allows all members of emergency teams, whether in the field or in the operations and control room, to record observations, track them, and update their status in real-time, ensuring that information reaches all concerned parties simultaneously.
He clarified that the application is characterized by linking each observation to its geographical location, the ability to document it with photos and videos, and maintaining an electronic record of observations and the measures taken regarding them, in addition to being divided into two interconnected interfaces, one for field teams and the other for the operations and control room, with an interactive dashboard that displays updates and current cases directly.
