Al-Masri inspects the preparations of Ayy Municipality for winter and emphasizes the importance of early readiness

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, Engineer Walid Al-Masri, inspected the preparations of Ayy Municipality in Karak Governorate for the winter season, and reviewed the level of infrastructure readiness and the measures taken to deal with the weather conditions expected during the rainy season, to ensure the safety of citizens and mitigate the effects of rainfall.
Al-Masri was received, in the presence of Karak Governor Dr. Qublan Al-Sharif, by the Mayor of Ayy, Qasim Al-Maraiya, who briefed him on the most prominent measures and preparations implemented by the municipality as part of its plan to deal with the winter season, and the efforts made to enhance the readiness of its personnel and machinery to deal with emergency situations, and to monitor locations that may witness water accumulation or require field interventions during periods of rainfall.
Al-Masri reviewed the reality of municipal services provided to citizens, and the financial and administrative procedures followed by the municipality, in addition to the efforts aimed at raising the efficiency of municipal work and improving the level of response to citizens' needs, stressing the importance of early preparation for the rainy season, and taking the necessary measures to reduce the risks that may result from weather conditions, especially in areas that require continuous field monitoring.
He emphasized the importance of coordination between municipalities, administrative governors, and various relevant institutions and authorities, and the integration of roles and unification of efforts to ensure a rapid response to any emergency, enhance public safety measures, preserve the lives and property of citizens, and ensure the continuity of providing basic services during the winter.
The Ministry of Local Administration, through its tours, monitors the extent of the readiness of municipalities in various regions of the Kingdom to receive the rainy season, identifies their field and administrative needs, and enhances their ability to deal with weather conditions, which contributes to protecting infrastructure and improving the level of services provided to citizens.
