Al-Hussein University signs cooperation agreements with Petra hotels and the Petra Hotels Association

Al-Hussein Bin Talal University and the Petra College of Tourism and Archaeology have signed cooperation agreements with a number of tourist hotels in Petra and the Petra Hotels Association.

The agreements included the Crowne Plaza Petra Hotel, the Petra Marriott Hotel, the Mövenpick Resort Petra, the Old Village Hotel & Resort, and the Petra Hotels Association.

The agreements aim to provide practical training opportunities for the college's students in various hotel and tourism departments and facilities, allowing them to gain applied experience and necessary professional skills, and to link academic knowledge with actual work requirements, in addition to cooperating in building the capacities of hotel institution employees through specialized training programs and courses.

Al-Kharabsheh emphasized that the signing of these agreements comes in line with Al-Hussein Bin Talal University's directions towards strengthening partnerships with private sector institutions and expanding applied training opportunities for students, contributing to the preparation of graduates who possess the professional skills and competencies required by the labor market.

For his part, the Dean of the Petra College of Tourism and Archaeology, Dr. Mansour Al-Shuqairat, explained that these agreements represent an important step in developing the applied aspect of the academic programs offered by the college, by providing direct training opportunities for students in the hotel work environment and enabling them to acquire the experiences and skills that enhance their professional readiness after graduation.
