A significant drop in accommodation prices in Petra.. An opportunity for local tourism

Tourism services and hotel room prices have recorded a noticeable decrease, reaching half in most establishments operating in the Rose City.

Although this decrease is due to the decline in foreign tourism because of the surrounding geopolitical circumstances, it is an opportunity for local visitors to stay in the city and discover the magic, beauty, and unparalleled sites that Petra has to offer.

Sami Al-Nawfalah, President of the Petra Hotels Association, said that the sharp decline in the number of foreign tourists has led the establishments operating in the city to reduce their prices, thereby encouraging local tourism to stay in Petra and discover its unique archaeological and aesthetic landmarks.

Al-Nawfalah added that the hotels and establishments operating in the city provide integrated services, along with diverse tourist and cultural experiences, seeking to enrich the visitors' experience in the city and introduce them to what Petra has to offer, from its diverse tourist, cultural, and heritage attractions.

He explained that the hotels and tourist establishments in the city are diverse, combining modern features with ancient and traditional architectural styles, along with sports and service facilities, providing visitors with various options for accommodation and relaxation.

Al-Nawfalah called on Jordanians and residents of the Kingdom to take advantage of the existing offers and get up close to the ancient city of Petra and its diverse archaeological facades, as Petra is not limited to the Siq and the Treasury alone.

Al-Nawfalah clarified that Petra is rich in diverse areas suitable for all types of tourism, such as the Bayda area, which is characterized by its diverse terrain, mountains, and sands, and is an environment for natural, environmental, sports, and horseback riding tourism, among others.

He pointed out that all visitors who came to Petra and experienced tourism there had a distinctive experience in the city and expressed their desire to return to visit it again and discover what they could not see on their first visit.
