Speaking as one of the participants and signatories of the statement, Dr. Tareq Ziad Al-Nasser, an academic at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Yarmouk University and director of "Yarmouk FM" radio, affirmed that Jordan, through the awareness of its people and the wisdom of its leadership, will remain resilient against all strife and criminal attempts that seek to undermine its stability, noting that the issuance of this statement reflects the pulse of the Jordanian street and its deep awareness of the complex regional circumstances.
Dr. Al-Nasser explained that the historical partnership and national cohesion between Muslims and Christians in Jordan is a firm and solid pillar whose roots extend throughout history, and no sinful hand or sick souls can undermine this coexistence, which has always formed an oasis of security and safety.
The statement pointed out that the Christian component in Jordan has been and remains an authentic part and a true partner in giving, sacrifice, and building the Jordanian state from the early eras to this day, citing Quranic verses, noble Prophetic Hadiths, and verses by the poet Arar that reinforce the values of brotherhood and national unity.
The participants stressed the necessity of exercising restraint and standing as one rank behind state institutions and fair justice, so that all Jordanians may miss the opportunity for those lurking for the nation and its security, praying to God Almighty to protect Jordan, its Hashemite leadership, and its authentic people from all harm.
