The occupation forces had closed, on the night of Saturday-Sunday, the Attara and Ein Siniya checkpoints, and the entrances to the towns of Aboud and Al-Nabi Salih, north of Ramallah, and tightened their military measures, leading to the detention of hundreds of citizens' vehicles for several hours and obstructing their movement.
Local sources informed the Palestinian News Agency "WAFA" that the occupation forces stopped citizens' vehicles at the checkpoints and subjected them to inspection and scrutiny, causing a large number of them to pile up and traffic jams on the roads leading to Ramallah and the surrounding villages and towns.
The occupation forces continue to close a number of checkpoints and entrances, amid the tightening of inspection and scrutiny measures against Palestinians and vehicles, which hinders the movement of citizens and forces them to take alternative routes.
The governorate of Ramallah and Al-Bireh and its surroundings have witnessed, for more than a week, a tightening of military measures, through the closure of checkpoints, iron gates, and the establishment of surprise checkpoints, which has led to the obstruction of the movement of Palestinians between the towns of the governorate and its entrances.
The occupation forces also closed the Jaba' military checkpoint, northeast of the occupied Jerusalem, to the movement of citizens and vehicles, causing a traffic crisis and congestion of vehicles.
