In a national stance that embodies the depth of cohesion and brotherhood among the Jordanian people, Dr. Osama Al-Khasawneh took the initiative to form a delegation of doctors and organize a visit to Karak Governorate to offer condolences and sympathy to the Christian community following the painful events witnessed in the governorate.
This initiative came as an expression of human and national solidarity, and as an embodiment of the authentic Jordanian values that affirm that Jordanians, of all spectrums and components, stand as one in the face of adversity, sharing pain just as they share belonging and loyalty to the homeland.
During the visit, Al-Khasawneh emphasized that what befell our people in Karak is a tragedy for all Jordanians, stressing that national unity is not merely slogans, but real positions embodied in standing by each other in the most difficult circumstances.
Al-Khasawneh said: "We came to Karak today not only to perform the duty of condolences, but to assure our Christian brothers that their grief is our grief, their affliction is our affliction, and that we are one Jordanian family in this homeland, undivided by circumstances and unshaken by adversity."
He added: "We were raised in a homeland that does not know discrimination among its children, a homeland that brings together the mosque and the church under one Hashemite banner, and whose children are bound by the values of love, tolerance, and brotherhood. What unites us as Jordanians is greater than any difference, and what pains one of us pains us all."
Al-Khasawneh pointed out that the initiative was coordinated with a group of his fellow doctors, stemming from their social and humanitarian responsibility, and their belief that a doctor's mission is not limited to treating physical pain, but extends to comforting people and standing by them in times of distress.
He affirmed that Karak Governorate, with its long national history and cohesive social fabric, will remain a symbol of authenticity and national unity, and that its people will remain an integral part of every Jordanian's conscience.
At the conclusion of the visit, Al-Khasawneh and the accompanying medical delegation expressed their deep sadness and sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, asking God to cover the departed with His vast mercy, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and to protect Jordan, its people, and its Hashemite leadership from all harm.
Al-Khasawneh affirmed that Jordan will remain one homeland, bringing its people together with a common destiny, united by its flag, and fortified by their national unity.
