7040 beneficiaries from the national aid lists have obtained jobs - details

The Director of the National Aid Fund, Khutam Shinikat, said on Sunday that the exit of families from the Fund's umbrella after providing sustainable jobs for its members aligns with the national social protection strategy and the National Aid Fund strategy

Shinikat emphasized the importance of linking beneficiaries of monthly assistance to economic empowerment paths, which contributes to enhancing their self-reliance and empowering poor families.

Shinikat added that the Fund, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor through the National Employment Program, is making efforts to increase employment opportunities among beneficiaries of the national aid, noting that the percentage of beneficiaries of the program from the Fund's lists has been raised to 15%.

She explained that the number of beneficiaries who obtained jobs through the program amounted to about 7040 beneficiaries, 5123 of whom continued to work for more than a year.

Shinikat clarified that the Fund grants beneficiary families a grace period of 12 months, during which income from jobs provided by the National Employment Program is not counted when assessing their eligibility for aid.

She pointed out that about 2345 families benefited from the grace period, without graduating from the national aid programs, as they did not meet the graduation criteria, despite the improvement in their financial situation.

Shinikat confirmed that the Fund monitors the conditions of the poorest families after their members obtain jobs, to verify the stability of their living conditions and the continued improvement in their economic situation.
